COTV - CO2 ABSORBER (For DM Storage Tank Vents)

Overview

TANKSERV is world’s biggest provider of Low-Pressure-Drop CO2 Scrubbers and CO2 Absorbers for demineralized water tank and other storage tank vents.

Over 500 units of TANKSERV CO2 Scrubbers are installed at power stations and water treatment plants in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the American continent.

The absorber filters are equipped with Replacement CO2 Filter cells and particulate filters. To facilitate the maintenance of the absorber filters, the units can be connected to the Distributed Control System (DCS) of your plant.

Why? CO2 Absorbers

High quality of demineralised water is important for such industries as power generation, semiconductor and pharmaceutical where there are strict regulatory requirements.

The most common way to measure very low levels of ionic impurities in ultra pure water is on line analysis of conductivity and resistivity. Demineralized water is often exposed to CO2 from the air, which increases its conductivity and gives the appearance of a contaminant in the water. Depending on CO2 concentration in incoming air water conductivity can be increased to ~0.8-1.5 µS/cm.

CO2 Scrubber for DM Tanks allows you to keep stable pH and low conductivity of demineralized water.

Product & Advantages

Filter Units can be flange mounted directly on top of the tank’s breather vent or placed at ground level with duct connections to the tank’s inlet/outlet breather. Lifting lugs are also provided for ease of handling and positioning.
The units contain replaceable Filter Cells for the adsorption of CO2
Disposable or cleanable Pre and Post filters are incorporated within the units
A Pressure / Vacuum relief valve is also fitted to allow the airflow to bypass the unit should the filters become blocked
Differential pressure gauges are fitted as Standard
Caseworks are manufactured in 304 or 316 Stainless Steel
Individually designed units to meet customer requirements

Absorber Filling

Diving grade TANKSERV absorbs carbon dioxide ensuring a breathable atmosphere is maintained. It is optimised for the removal of carbon dioxide from recirculated air/nitrox/heliox in rebreathers and saturation dive systems, commercial and leisure diving rebreathers, dive chamber/bell scrubbers/gas reclaim systems and dive gas conditioning units.

Installation

Top Mounting

CO2 Tank Breather Filters for Demineralized Water Tank Vents/ CO2 Scrubber for tanks is to be installed at the tank vent to prevent CO2 entrance in to the DM water storage tank. The intention is to avoid CO2 present in the air entering the tank.

Ground Mouting

CO2 Scrubber / CO2 Tank Breather Filter is mounted on the respiratory valve of the tank either on the top of the tank or on the ground.
